Pastor Rudy Sheptock - Senior Pastor

Pastor Rudy Sheptock

Senior Pastor

Rev. Rudy Sheptock, Jr. was born in 1960 in Passaic, New Jersey and is very proud of his Jersey roots. He grew up Roman Catholic and made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as his Savior as a freshman in high school. Rudy later felt called by God to full time ministry and went on to Philadelphia College of Bible. After working with Youth for Christ, Rudy ministered full time in Dayton and Stow, Ohio and in Omaha, Nebraska, specializing in youth, college and singles ministry.

Since the summer of ’97, Rudy has been the Senior Pastor of The Lighthouse Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Cape May County, New Jersey. The church makes its mission to take the true treasure, Jesus Christ, beyond the doors of its building and lets it be known to all that there are NO PERFECT PEOPLE ALLOWED! Whosoever will may come and know the love of God!

Rudy is husband to Terri and Dad to Rudy III, Leah, Abbie and Joel. He is also a Pop-Pop to Jude with another grandchild on the way- the kids of Rudy III and his wife Lindsey. Not a stranger to tragedy and very difficult times, the Sheptock’s youngest daughter Abbie, battled back from kidney cancer and their middle 2 sons lived only a short time on earth. Nicholas Paul was born and died on April 5, 1995 and Benjamin Philip was born and died on March 7, 1999. There was even the loss of another child- 6 month into the pregnancy in June of 2005.

Rudy grew up in a very unique family. His parents, Rudy Sr. (who graduated to glory in 2000) and Joanne had seven children of their own and went on to adopt 30 more. Rudy credits his parents for modeling real faith and being adventurous in following God.

Pastor Rudy is known for his passionate love for Jesus and contagious enthusiasm which becomes evident in his unique speaking style. Through the years, Rudy has been a featured speaker for Youth for Christ, C&MA Youth Camps throughout the country, the C&MA Colleges, Countless churches of all denominations and abroad in Australia, Malaysia, Russia, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Quito, Ecuador.

He is also a big baseball fan (with a diehard allegiance to the New York Mets), loves music and hosts radio shows on the local FM stations in South Jersey.

His life verse is Ephesians 3:20 because he has experienced God’s bigness personally and wants to show them Jesus until the day he goes home to Heaven!

Pastor Jon Whipple - Associate Pastor, Children/Administration

Pastor Jon Whipple

Associate Pastor, Children/Administration

Pastor Jon was raised in Connecticut, which accounts for his unusual ability to root for both Boston and New York sports teams. He met Jesus in a personal way at age 18. He graduated from Gordon College and later worked his way through Gordon-Conwell Seminary. Along the way, he met his lovely and capable wife Ann. Working and studying weren't quite enough, so they had two children as well, Hannah and Jay. In 2000, they were called to work with children and youth at Greenfield Alliance Church in Massachusetts. Six years of productive ministry there led them to consider focusing on children's ministry at the Lighthouse Church. All parties agreed, and the Whipples arrived in March of 2006. Now that the Lighthouse has its own building, Jon also oversees the facilities and technical equipment. Ann coordinates the nursery ministry. Whenever possible, they take walks on the beach and vacation in the mountains.

Pastor Charlie Harrah

Assoc. Pastor, Caring Ministries/Small Groups

Charles Harrah is a native of New Jersey, accidently born in West Virginia and later grew up in Los Angeles during the 1960's. He began training in fine arts, but during the summer of 1974 God called him to the pastoral ministry. He began theological/biblical studies at Columbia Bible College in South Carolina.
After graduation (1979) he started in ministry in The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Pomona, New Jersey. He met the love of his life in that church, Donna, and married her in June 1982. Adam Nudo

Director, Youth & Worship

A northeastern PA native, Adam grew up in Wilkes-Barre where he graduated from E. L. Meyers High. He spent 22 years in sales and management positions including 15 plus years with The Schwan Food Co.
At the age of 34, his ministry started as a volunteer at Faith Church in Montoursville, PA. He worked with the Senior High youth group as well as serving on the worship team. When he and his wife Lori, moved to New Jersey, they quickly found a home at the Lighthouse Church and jumped back into both youth and worship ministries. I believe that without Jesus I can't accomplish a thing, but with Him... anything is possible"
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit, apart from Me, you can do nothing" - John 15:5
Adam and Lori have raised three beautiful daughters, Raya, Toni and Casey and currently live in Villas, NJ.
