March 12,19 & 26: Son of God Study
(Open to All Adults) Led by Pastor Rudy
These classes are a follow-up to the Son of God movie, to help answer any questions. There are too many individuals who are walking away from a bad religious experience thinking that it represented Jesus! Nothing could be further from the Truth, the Way and the Life. If people are going to make eternal decisions then they should at the very least get their information straight and we can help fill in the deadly blanks! We can get them to see the Son of God for who he really is!
Gods at War
(Open to All Adults) Led by Jon Buthy
There may be not wood or golden idols in your home, but chances are there are significant idols in your heart. These idols can look like normal, everyday concerns about security, finances, or a desire for attention and affection. But they can easily become the ugly reality of anxiety, greed and seeking the approval of those around you rather than God. In his book Gods at War, Kyle Idleman addresses this idolatry with insightful questions about which false gods are striving to sit on the throne of your heart. Hear powerful testimonies from those who have struggles with the idols of money, sex, success, food and romance. Clear away the cultural baggage of the 21st century and expose these gods for what they are - rivals to our unhindered devotion to Christ. Discover the freedom that awaits when the true God resides unchallenged in your heart and life.
The Christian Atheist
(Open to all adults) Led by Dennis Hall
After a decade of successful ministry, Craig Groeschel knew the subject of Christian Atheists all too well: those who put their faith in God but still live as if everything was up to them. Although Groeschel believed in God, he was leading his church like God didn't exist. His spiritual journey, from his family & upbringing to a lackluster expression of faith he encountered that was even diametrically opposed to itself, will look and sound like the story of our own lives. His resulting journey to a more authentic, God-honoring life is more relevant that ever. Be challenged to take an honest moment and ask yourself if you are living and making decisions as if God doesn't exist.
Love and Respect
(Open to Adult Couples) Led by Jeanne Monge
The passage from Ephesians 5:33 states, "But every husband must love his wife as he loves himself and wives should respect their husbands" (God's Word translation). This is the basis of Dr. Emerson Eggerich's book, Love and Respect: The Love She Most Desires and the Respect He Desperately Needs. The author's premise is that communication between a husband and wife is often frustrated because of the vastly different ways in which men and women perceive love. Women are wired to need unconditional love and men need to feel unconditionally respected. Come and revitalize the love in your marriage!
Getting Acquainted With The New Testament: The Gospels (2)
(Open to All Adults) Led by Pastor Charlie
This class continues a survey of the New Testament with an intense look at the next gospels: Luke & John. In a few short hours, Pastor Charlie will give an introduction to the books, people, places and themes. This course is designed to answer a lot of questions and raise a bunch more: Why are there 4 gospels? Which writer does church tradition suggest was an artist? When were the Gospels written? Which is the only Gospel that uses the word "church?" To take this class, all you need is a curiosity about Jesus and an interest in new ideas and old lessons. Bring a Bible and a friend and join us!
A Time of Prayer, 5:15-6 pm (come for 5 minutes or 45, pray out loud or in your heard, all are Welcome)
